Paul Mitchell is Principal of Sentient Risk Advisory. He has more than 25 years of experience across technology, cybersecurity, product security, enterprise platforms, and AI governance.
He is AI Automation & Governance Owner at Gusto, following senior roles at RingCentral and 8x8, with earlier work at Lam Research, Macy's.com, Ogilvy & Mather, Sapient, and Razorfish/Publicis. His current focus is AI governance architecture and implementation, including agent governance, assurance readiness, decision authority, evidence, permissions, escalation, runtime enforcement, and the Deployment AI Governance Standard (DAGS).
That background shapes Sentient's view that governance must live in the operating environment, not only in policy.
